Two-year-old Woodolf suffered a crushed right arm following the earthquake. Doctors at his local hospital sadly had to amputate his arm, and he was then referred to Merlin's field hospital to access specialist surgical care. "A week before there was a family wedding. Woodolf was the ring bearer," his father Fouchard explains. "We have photos of how things were like before the quake but this is hard. My wife, my children, my two stepdaughters…we are all homeless." As Woodolf tucks into the crust of a meat pie, his father continues. "Sometimes Woodolf looks for his missing arm when he's in pain. This also hurts me." Though his future is uncertain, doctors treating Woodolf are confident he will make a full recovery.
