When Merlin's medical team admitted Rosomon, 10 years old, to our Wimbledon field hospital (so named as it's on a tennis court), he was suffering from extensive injuries: a crushed left leg, crushed hands and lacerations to his head. The team quickly identified broken bones and nerve damage using equipment other health facilities lacked, such as an x-ray and portable ultrasound machines. Surgeon Sanjib Majumder notes Merlin's Wimbledon field hospital was properly equipped to offer complete diagnosis - and treatment - without invasive procedures. With his grandmother at his side, a health worker checks on his recovery in the in-patient ward.
