"Merlin has already delivered five tonnes of supplies to Haiti, including enough medicines and equipment for 50,000 people for three months, plus 70 air mattresses for makeshift hospital beds, 12 dispensary tents, and £100,000 worth of donated surgical equipment. The travel company Thomas Cook, Spire Healthcare and others have made generous donations of air transport and medical equipment. Merlin will also distribute hygiene kits – including washing and laundry soap, buckets, and sanitary towels – to enable people who have lost their homes and possessions to stay clean and healthy."
